Do you have an interest in rural policing, wildlife and environmental issues, have some spare time and want to volunteer with us? Volunteering alongside the North Cumbria and Eden policing teams you will support officers including a dedicated team of Special Constables to focus on rural issues and help us tackle our policing priorities

 

The aim of the Safer Neighbourhoods Rural Special Constables is to address the problems of rural crime, trends and issues within the rural community. The officers will be an active presence and link to the rural community, looking at issues such as farm crime, wildlife crime, ASB and all other aspects of rural crime. The officers will promote rural initiatives such as Farm Watch and Country Watch, and actively take part in pre-planned operations and attend agricultural events. The officers will work closely and pass information between with the problem solving teams and the Wildlife, Rural and Environmental Crime Coordinator in addressing rural issues and crimes. The officers will cover all of the North rural area.
