Cumbria Constabulary Volunteer Opportunity- "Roving Speed Watch Volunteer"- North Cumbria:

The aim of the Mobile Speed Watch scheme is to address the problem of real or perceived speed related offending in partnership with the community. The Mobile Speed Watch scheme aims to share the responsibility for addressing speed related offending between the community, the Police and other agencies. 

At the heart of this initiative are the Communities. The Constabulary consults with the local communities at community group meetings to identify problematic areas and target those through this initiative. Where enforcement is required volunteers will work alongside the special and regular officers to enforce the laws.

Do you feel you can support the Constabulary in its drive to make our roads safer? Do you want to volunteer as part of a team to monitor speed at identified problematic areas?

We are looking for volunteers to join a Roving Speed Watch team across North Cumbria, if you have time and want to make a difference then this opportunity could be for you.
